Covid-19 and Bungee Classes
The impact of COVID-19 on our fitness industry
How are you doing?
In these uncertain times, the COVID-19 health crisis is presenting challenges that are unprecedented in our lifetimes.
Four weeks in and we would love to hear how you’ve adapted to the lockdown. Have you digitalized your workouts by live streaming sessions to members, renting out your equipment or maybe taking the time to reflect on refreshing your offering to members?
With more people across the UK now prioritising being active than before, according to Sport England, on-demand and live workouts have become more popular with regular fitness consumers as well as opening up new audiences who have mobility issues or even parents that don’t have access to childcare and are unable to visit a bricks and mortar class.
What does this mean for the fitness industry?
Without knowing when lockdown will end or the impact of weeks indoors on the mindsets of consumers, there are many ponderings on what will change and stay the same. Your customers might enjoy the convenience of working out from home more than visiting your gym or they might be used to accessing enough free content online to build a new fitness routine. Not forgetting the potential stigma of attending a class or using equipment after of weeks of thinking it’s unsafe. When restrictions are lifted, there might not be the immediate influx of clients you’re perhaps expecting, so how will you entice your members back?
Stay Safe, Stay Competitive
Bungee fitness can give you a competitive edge and after having to engage with customers outside of your gym these last few weeks, giving them something extra special to encourage them back is more important now than ever. With bungee fitness, class sizes are limited, so members can be assured of social distancing procedures and the kit is totally washable, from being able to machine wash the harness and outer bungee sleeves to wiping down any other parts with anti-bac wipes.
Ticks other boxes too…
It’s fun! Millennials will still want innovative group workouts.
Great for getting everyone active including children, seniors and those with mobility issues.
Premium equipment (97% made in the US) supplied with everything you need, so no need to source extra parts from elsewhere.
Get ready for post-lockdown

An important Coronavirus update for our customers By AES Bungee Fitness
As always at AES, the wellbeing of our customers and their members is of the highest priority. Following the updates and guidance from Public Health England, we wanted to help you to address any concerns you may have around Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and using your AES bungee fitness equipment…
Your customers are talking about Coronavirus and will want to be given peace of mind if they’re using your gym or attending classes, so here are some helpful tips and advice on keeping yourself, your members and staff safe in these challenging and uncertain times:
Keep members informed on a regular basis as your plans evolve and let them know what your plans are to keep them safe. Contact them to let them know what to do if they develop any Coronavirus symptoms, for example, a high temperature, new continuous cough or flu-like symptoms or have recently returned from any of the countries on the Government’s restricted travel lists.
Provide hand sanitiser for members to use on arrival at your class.
Ask your members to let you know immediately if they are suffering from a cough, high temperature (38ºC or 100.4ºF in adults) or any other known Coronavirus symptoms and offer members a flexible cancellation policy if they need to self-isolate.
Reassure members that the bungee fitness equipment will be washed on a regular basis.
How to clean your AES bungee fitness equipment.
The AES Outer Sleeve is machine washable as well as the AES Daisy Chain. The AES Luxury Harness can be machine washed also, although it’s best to do this by putting it in a pillow case, secured shut with string and set to a delicate wash. Any other parts (O rings, AES Swivels and Carabiners) can be cleaned using anti-bacterial wipes or spray.
We will be updating our socials with any further updates so please keep a track of those.
