Aeroball

AES Management team

first brought Aeroball to the UK in the early 1990’s. The early days of Aeroball was predominantly used at children’s activity centers (PGL/ Kingswood) whereas nowadays it is a favored activity at all up market holiday resorts, caravan parks, schools and scouts/guide centers.

Who’s in for Aeroball?

Aeroball is a game which combines the skills needed in trampolining, basketball and volleyball.  It has become very popular in the UK as it gives players a great workout regardless of level and is an easy pick up and go game. Aeroball® was developed as an improvement on Gordon’s HiBall™.

The game offers the benefits of rebounding (jumping) while removing the risks of overcrowded trampolines, falling off, and falling onto the springs. Rebounding offers amazing aerobic exercise, exhausting even the most athletic people in minutes. In addition to aerobic exercise, Aeroball® exercises muscles that ordinarily never get an opportunity to be pushed. It quickly builds balance, coordination, focus, and relative motion recognition skills. The best part is that all of this is secondary while playing. Players never realize how tired they are until they stop after a point and are shocked to find that they are completely breathless!

Aeroball®™is great for a variety of people and places. Because it’s so small, it will fit in even the smallest of backyards, making it ideal for Home use. Aeroball® Tournaments are riotous fun at camps, and an Aeroball® in a Commercial Setting will rake in the cash.

The Game

Parts of The Game

Physically, the Aeroball® is a compact unit that is 8 feet wide and 15 feet long. It consists of an outer frame, a spring loaded fabric housing (13' tall) that protects the players from the frame and each other, and two 5'x5' trampoline beds (one for each player.) The two compartments are separated by a double wall net to remove the possibility of player contact. In the rear wall of each compartment is a basket with two holes, one in the top and one in the bottom. The ball can pass through the top hole and out the bottom. There is also a Four Player Model, which lets all four players compete simultaneously.

Playing The Game
At its core, the game is very simple. Points are scored in two ways. The first is to throw the ball through the front hole of the basket in the other player's compartment, worth two points. If the shot misses and the other player fails to grab the ball before it touches the trampoline bed, one point is awarded. Once one of the players reaches a predetermined number of points he is declared the winner.

Even though the game is simple, players quickly develop complex techniques to one-up each other. Imagine rocketing skyward clutching the ball and getting ready to shoot. You look up to see your opponent perfectly matching you. Time slows to a crawl as you hang in the air, waiting as long as is humanly possible to launch the ball at the goal. Gravity stakes its claim, your opponent starts falling and you hurl the ball missing your opponent's fingertips by mere inches. Goal! In a heated match, inches are often the measure of the margin of victory. Players reach astronomical heights in the competition for vertical superiority, and before long they begin to invent spectacular shots to disorient, distract or intimidate their opponent.

"What Surface can I put Aeroball on"

You can put your Aeroball on most surfaces, turf, concrete, ash felt.

If you are doing a concrete pad then we recommend adding another 5ft around so you have a nice tidy area, and for the longevity of the product.
